Lady P is the creative genius behind the Art Installations at the Anthropologie on State Street in Chicago. She is the set designer at The Building Stage. And, obviously she is an incredible singer and songwriter.

Pamela is the cat's pajamas and the bee's knees!

on a .gin.whim. i locked my bike 'round a parking sign on second and market street.saturday night.06.26.2010. My legs skipped down the steps as i gathered loose change with my left hand. two dollar blue line ride to thirtieth street.indeed.

SEPTA.takes pennies.dimes.quarters.bills.ladida.just no slugs.those are best kept for fishing trips out of town.so i heard.once on a rainy day.but.no need for that story today.

anyhoo.

i paid exact change for a seat on the bolt bus.thirty-fourth and eighth.NYC.

i sat in awe.

i'm allowing myself.to fluff. i'm allowing myself to whim.!!!.i'm allowing myself to step aside.of my hibitual.ritual.work.mode.ness.yo.

i am able to take a gin.whim.trip.cause i got a kick.ass lady named DEVO.who lives in Bushwick.she's crafty with her hands.and.witty.sweet.with her mind.

i met her two years prior 'round these dates.at an art residency.gated community.in upstate new york.called chautauqua. we've been tight ever since.

i check my bag for a breathe.mint.diddie. i have no such item available. only a bike pump.a dieing phone.thirty dollars.a dirty ballet leotard.and.cotton shorts.

.it was the fluff i needed.

Sometimes..i just want to hang out with my buddies.eat cupcakes.drink tea.with gin. and watching the tree limbs sway..but..mostly i just want to work. while eating cupcakes and drinking gin.

This is my first year out.official year. of school. (i was a ceramic tech at a small college in the hills of West Virginia for a year). It think about how i spend my time..and..what i am working on..and..why.

i feel like i can't just work to work. make a mug for the gee golly thrill..like..i have to do something..bigger. I've really been trying to think about something larger then the making. but. i have been making just for the love of making.

i never want to loose my love of making.

NOTE..
MY BOSS MAN TALKED TO ME ABOUT MONEY THAT DAY. MONEY AND FUTURE DIDDIES. YA. FREAK ME OUT. I'M ABLE TO LIVE.BY.LIVING IN THE MOMENT. I TRY NOT TO THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE.FAR.FUTURE. BECAUSE THE FUTURE IS NOW.WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT. SO. WHEN I JUST FOCUS. I AM A LOT HAPPIER.

I DON'T LIKE THINKING ABOUT HYPOTHETICAL SITUATIONS. TOO MUCH.
